Never use this company, full of cheating, customer service very rude!!! By mistake I booked two adult tickets at 11:00 PM.

On the next day at 2:00 PM (well within 24 hours) I called them to make changes. I was told that I have to pay the penalty of $200 each because it was not on the same day. I was also asked to pay a price difference of $171 each. This means that I need to pay $742 for this change well within 24 hours.

I checked their website and found that the new ticket is even cheaper.

They explained to me that to change the ticket is different from to book a new ticket. Listen to me, never use this company!!!

Reviewer is in unhappy mood. Please immediately contact the author of this review to discuss poor customer service of adult airline ticket and associated monetary loss in the amount of $742. Cheapoair needs to offer any options to resolve the issue according to poster's claims.

It is extremely important to consider what you want to accomplish and use language precisely when dealing with airlines, regardless of their name. The United States Department of Transportation has a federal regulation governing the CANCELLATION of tickets within 24 hours titled "Enhancing Airline Passenger Protections” (14 CFR 259.5(b)(4), 76 Fed.

Reg. 23110, 23166, Apr. 25, 2011" This requires a refund of the cost if the ticket is cancelled within 24 hours, it applies to all reservations made seven days or more prior to the flight’s scheduled departure time, and it applies to both airlines and ticket sellers. Side note: To me this provision does not look prominently displayed in the CheapoAir site.

The problem is you did not ask to do that: "I called to make CHANGES." Making CHANGES is not CANCELLING. There is nothing in their website that says CHANGES can be made for free. It therefore seems correct you would have to pay the $742.00. While it would have been nice if the agent asked if you wanted to cancel this ticket and then buy a new ticket, apparently you never brought that issue up, nor was it discussed, meaning only CHANGES to the ticket you had bought was at issue.

[If a store has a 24 hour cancellation policy and you timely bring an item back to have a small tear repaired, that is not requesting to cancel the sale of that dress.]

In the future, it would seem the best within 24 hour policy with any airline would be to talk to the agent about CANCELLING your ticket.

Then buy another ticket separate from the first.
