Hello Everyone,

I would like to share my experience with all of your. Please take your time to read this email.

I initially sent an email to the following people/departments at Cheapoair; Feedback; Renee Andrews, James Fonovich, Sam (CEO), Sneharthi Roy and Carolina on Saturday, February 17th. In this email, i explained the hardship I faced and was looking for answers (a copy of this email is at end of this email)

Since then; here are the updates.

- I was patiently waiting to hear back from someone / anyone from cheapoair senior management department -Since I didn't hear back from anyone, I started doing some research on my own ... I figured the only option I had to was either (a) cancel my ticket @ $300 per person or (b) Pay about $500 / person to change my tickets.- While on the phone with a cheapoair rep / manager / rep for over 3 hours (going back and forth with them), I was browsing online for some rates ... and for the flight I wanted, coming directly back to Toronto, was even cheaper then the flight I had initially booked (Initial booking: $2,849.10 for two people - for the flight I couldn't board ) and now it was $2,732.14 for 2 people for a flight that I COULD board. so .. while online with the rep, he wanted about $1000 to change the flight .. ($200 / person for changing the flight and the rest about $300 / person for the difference in fare) ... so we quickly did the math ... to cancel my flight VIA USA was $600 (for 2 people) and new booking was $2732 ... so over all I was saving 4 hundred ($1000 to change vs. $600 to cancel). So i went ahead and told the rep to cancel my existing ticket and I will book again online ... and he told me $300 / ticket is the penalty ... so I agreed to that because I HAD NO CHOICE ...

So now ... I go to book the ticket ... and quess what ... "THE PRICE OF YOUR FLIGHT HAS CHANGE FROM $2732.14 TO $3104.14 ... GREAT!!!

Now I go to call the rep back, almost wanting to cry ... no one was helping. I patiently monitored the flights and website ... my conclusion is that, cheapoair.ca will show you a price that you want to see and when you go to book it, It will change the price on you. I've taken screenshots and my summary follows; (Screen shots attached) ... I understand this can happen once .. or twice ... but not continuously ..

Attempt 1Feb 8 @ 12:07 AMFound my flight! went to go book it!Price changed from $2732.14 to $3104.14

Feb 8 @ 12:13 AM- Shows the flight is sold out

Feb 8 @ 12:40 AM- Apparently the flight is still available ... for $3104.14

So far ... all makes sense ... I liked the price, I tried to book it .. prices had gone up .. now its $3104.14

Keep reading;

Attempt 2;Feb 8 @ 11:12 PMFound my flight! went to go book it!Price changed from $2714.14 to $3084.14

Feb 8 @ 11:15 PM- Apparently the flight is still available ... for $$1542.07 / person or $3084.14 for 2 people

Attempt 3;Feb 9 @ 10:21 PMFound my flight! for $1407.05 / person went to go book it! (this was a little more expensive, but ok)Price changed from $2802.10 to $3030.10

So ... seriously ... what do you make out of this? Can someone please help me understand the logic behind this?

Is this some sort of a scam .. or someone playing games? The answer is NOT "prices are constantly changing" ... really?

Great news ... It showed up again while we I was writing this email .. so here's attempt 4 ..

Attempt 4;Feb 9 @ 11:09 PMFound my flight! went to go book it!Price changed from $2862.10 to $3090.10

Anyways, back to WHY and HOW can this happen? If the simple answer is "prices are constantly changing" then this is not the truth ... prices are changing because YOU (CHEAPOAIR) want to change them ... you show the bone and take it away until the consumer pays more ... this is false advertising ...

I'm looking to answer any questions / concerns you may have and I am looking to hear back from SOMEONE to address this.

Attaching: All screenshots for the attempts that were made.

Thanks,

Hello,

To whom this may concern;

I am writing to you I'm regards to the booking number mentioned above.

My wife and I are travelling on March 9th from Toronto to Lahore with a stop over in Dubai on Emirates airline. During our return flight, we have a lay over in New York. (Lahore to Dubai to New York to Toronto)

Through speaking with a few of my colleagues they recommended that I check to see if I need a some sort of a visa during my lay over. Through my research I came to find out that a Transit visa is required for Canadian Permanent Residents (which I am) travelling through the United States and this visa could take up to 4 to 8 weeks to obtain. The challenge that I am having is that I am travelling in less than 4 weeks and it's impossible for me to get this visa.

Upon finding out, I phoned cheapoair and the representative nor the supervisor were very helpful, other than telling me that Emirates charges a $200 fee to change the booking plus the difference in ticket prices, they directed me to be in touch with Emirates and see if they can do anything. So then I phone Emirates and exactly what I expected, they couldn't help me because the ticket wasn't booked through them and was issued by cheapoair.

I'm emailing you to seek assistance. Had I known about a lay over visa, etc. I would have booked a different flight which was $50.00 extra at the time I was booking that would return me to Toronto. I am not in a financial situation to pay over $600 to change a flight for which I already paid $2,849.

Again, I would like to re-iterate, this is not something that I did intentionally. The thought did not even cross my mind regarding a "Lay over visa" where I was not going to leave the airport in United States. It just simply did not cross my mind. In my head, I'm thinking we are just going to switch planes from Emirates to Air Canada ... and that's it ... Had i known all this earlier, I would have selected a flight coming directly to Toronto.

It is my humble request for you to please review this matter and provide some assistance in helping me sort this out.

I can be reached at should you have any questions.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you
