I am one of the hundreds, perhaps thousands of people ripped off by Cheapoair.com. This week on the Internet I have read other people's stories about hidden fees, lies, tricks and fraud at Cheapoair.com. This time they choose the wrong victim. Cheapoair.com has taken US$4300 of my money, never issued a ticket and will not refund my money. I have wasted hours on the phone and have emails showing endless and stupid arguments with James Fonovich and Anne Farewell. I have travelled around the world and never have I seen such poor service and disregard for the customer. So I have taken them to court and I encourage everyone else to do the same. But I will do more than that. Here is what you need to know to sue Cheapo and the other front companies operated by Fareportal:
You must open an action against Fareportal, Inc. DBA the name of the company that ripped you off. Fareportal is incorporated in New York County, New York. The service of process address is:

Of course, there were airline delays and cancellations etc., but one cannot blame the agency for that. We do understand that problems like what this gentleman encountered are natural in such large operations. However, without knowing the facts on both sides, we do not want to jump to any conclusions or judgements. But this is just to let you all know that we always have had a wonderful experience with cheapoair and so have several of our friends and acquaintences..... Pete. |
